How to Use Post Block Widget
The documentation below is around the Post Block widget. We develop this widget to let our user show their post-block-wise in various Skins. Read the documentation and it will surely come in handy.
Here, I’ll include some instructions with pictures detailed for lessening your trouble.
So, let’s get it started.
To Insert Widget
Inserting widget, it is just a matter of dragging and dropping. As you see in the screenshot above.
Content Tab
Using the content tab, you’ll be able to make a layout of a particular part (option be added) of a website. And in this regard, some handy sections in the tab will assist you a lot.
Now, I’m going to show the sections of the Content Tab and how they work behind the widget.
Layout
Simply, go to the Content tab > Layout.
To begin with, let’s know about Skin control under the Layout section. The control offers you two skins with default one i.e. Genesis and Trinity.
Also, from the Featured Item control, you might define how you’ll show your post item.
A few switcher buttons are there to help you manage i.e. Title, Date, Category, etc.
The important thing is that you can add an icon to the Button and adjust the Featured Item Height.
List Layout
In this section, you’ll be able to manage the list of your posts. And to do so, you simply have to go to the Content tab > List Layout.
Query
This section works for setting the source location of data that you need to display by the reference like Author, Categories, Tags, and Formats. The references can be different in accordance with the source location. Read more
For example,
A. Go to Source ➤ next select data location( as posts, pages, etc.)
B. Then, write the author’s name in the Author field. Similarly, in the Categories and Tags field.
C. On the other hand, select categories from the Categories field.
D. Order By and Order controls are here to arrange the data you want to display through Random, Title, Date, or category wise and also with ascending or descending order.
Style Tab
Now, let’s work with Style Tab. The tab will easily have you style the web content (text, image, video, etc.) of the page you require to design.
Styling with the tab in Elementor will always give you a wonderful experience.
Let’s have a look.
Feature Image Style
Come to the Style tab > Featured Image Style. In this section, you’ll be able to style content under two modes (Normal and Hover). Look at the screenshot below, everything will be clear.

Featured Layout Style
In terms of styling this section, just, go to the Style tab > Featured Layout Style. Then come to the sub-sections (such as Title, Date, Category, and Excerpt) > add color and select typography individually. As you see in the screenshot below.
List Layout Style
At first, you go to the Style tab > List Layout Style > Image Size.
Then come to the sub-sections (such as Title, Date, and Category) > add color and select typography individually. Keep your eyes on the image below.
