How to Use Chart Widget

How to Use Chart Widget

A chart is the media of representing data. It is a graphical representation. Our Chart Widget includes various types of charts (such as Bar, Line, Pie, Radar, Polar Area, Doughnut, and Bubble).

You can face an issue. Considering the fact, here, we have made documentation on “How to Use Chart Widget”.

To Insert Widget

Inserting widget, it is just a matter of dragging and dropping. As you see in the screenshot above.

Content Tab

Using the content tab, you’ll be able to make a layout of a particular part of a website. And in this regard, some handy sections in the tab will assist you a lot.

Go to the Content tab > Chart > Type.

As to the Chart section, from here you can define what type of chart you want to show such as Bar (vertical, horizontal), Pie, Radar, Line, Polar Area, Bubble, and Doughnut.

Simply, go to the Content tab > Chart > Label Values and see the instructions exactly below the Label Values control.

Assume that by default you find the name of months in the Labels Values. But if you want, you can set any value to suit your design.

When you’re going to work with the Datasets, you have to remember a few things.

One, if you set chart type Bar, Line, Radar, and Polar Area, you’ll find some repeaters in this section and each of the repeaters will allow you to edit them.

When you need to increase the column number, you can do that just hitting on the +ADD ITEM button.

Note: How you will set data? Simple, the first repeater will allow you to add the first data value of each of the Label Values (such as Bangladesh, India, etc.) and you can do the same thing for the rest of the repeaters.

Look at the photo above. From the Data control, you can set the first value of each of the Label Values from the first repeater. Likewise, you can set the second value of each of the Label Values from the second repeater. And continue the process till end.

Two, if you set chart type Pie, Doughnut, and Bubble, you will find Data control and from here you can set data for each Label Values (like, Bangladesh, India, America, etc.). See the picture above.

Go to the Content tab > Additional.

This section will allow you to control the chart layout through the Yes/No Switcher button. As you see the screenshot above.

Mostly, you can add Prefix and Suffix to the chart. Just, you need to enable the switcher buttons.

Style Tab

It is time to work with the Style Tab. The tab will easily have you style the web content (text, image, video, etc.) of the page you want to design.

Let’s have a look.

This section will let you set Border Width, Grid Color and Tooltip Background Color.

Just, go to the Style tab > Style.

Video Assist

In conclusion, hopefully, you’ve understood, how handy the Chart widget is going to be! Though it is a little bit tricky. Moreover, the widget offers you the opportunities of using various chart types. Watch Video Assist and to get more ideas about the usage of this widget, hit on the demo page.
